Glen will speak as part of the Research Challenges in Data Science event to discuss the importance of data in the field of marketing. He will be joined by academic experts from a range of fields and institutions, such as the British Geological Society, the Edinburgh Institute for Astronomy, the St Andrews School of Biology, the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University and DataLab.
The event is designed to debate the role that data research plays in a number of fields, including marketing, cosmology, biology, earth sciences and neuroscience, discussing research opportunities and the importance of data science.
In his presentation, Glen will show how Stickyeyes uses data to decode search engine algorithms and analyse the importance and influence of hundreds of ranking factors to develop search marketing strategies.
The event takes place at the School of Informatics, The University of Edinburgh, on Thursday 3 July and is open to all SICSA members.
