We’re looking for a People Team Assistant to join our team in Leeds. With a positive attitude, you’ll help to enhance our ability to attract, engage and retain talented people.

The role will involve regular travel to Peterborough, as the team has responsibility for both Stickyeyes and Zazzle Media.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting with resourcing candidates, including sifting CVs and phone interviews
  • Supporting interviews for junior candidates
  • Ensuring the company careers page and job boards are updated
  • Providing an advisory service for basic employee queries ensuring that they are answered swiftly and professionally
  • Ensuring that data is input correctly into HR and Recruitment systems and kept up to date
  • Supporting the People Team Advisor in undertaking monthly payroll input and checking
  • Preparing and issuing appropriate contractual documentation in relation to new starters, leavers and variations of employment
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports
  • Supporting the delivery of induction sessions and exit interviews
  • Keeping all information up to date in relation to Learning, Benefits, Payroll and any other areas as and when required
  • Identifying improvements across the People function and escalating these as appropriate
  • Working to continually improve employee engagement and experience
  • Assisting with any ad hoc administrative tasks that may arise
  • Providing general administrative support to the Head of HR and Head of Recruitment as and when required
  • Any other duties as and when required to support the smooth running of the People Team, consummate with the level of role

What you'll need:

  • Experience in a People Team in a small to medium business would be a huge positive!
  • Experience of working within a recruitment team would be an advantage
  • Confidence in speaking to people and understanding when and how to escalate issues is a must
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail is key
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while using your initiative
  • Adaptable to change
