We’re looking for an inspiring individual to lead the continued development of the HR strategy in line with the group’s objectives, playing a key role in ensuring that the business achieves its long term targets, through our most important asset – our people.

You’ll be required to work closely with our Executive Board, advising and providing guidance, while also getting involved in the detail. We already have an established people agenda and a strong, identifiable culture, but we know that that there’s always more that we can do.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the people strategy, ensuring we have high levels of staff engagement and satisfaction so we remain a top employer with the most talented people
  • Ensuring the people strategy focuses on talent management and retention, communication and culture
  • Work closely with the CFO and other key members of the Executive Board to provide guidance and direction on a range of areas, from setting the People Strategy to ad-hoc HR projects and issues, all within a modern and forward thinking digital marketing environment
  • General HR matters and the day-to-day operation of the HR function such as communications, adherence to policies and guidelines and performance management. There will be an element of support for the more administrative aspects of the role
  • Personal development and talent management – manage the system of performance appraisals, PDPs, succession planning, top talent agenda and help address underperformance
  • Training - direct the training needs of the organisation, deploying the appropriate training to reflect the needs of individuals and the business
  • Coaching and guiding line managers, ensuring they are fully supported with managing, and developing their people
  • Reward and recognition – key input to companies incentiveyes scheme, ensuring we remain an attractive employer
  • Internal communication and culture – organize and lead various internal communications processes. Be a leading advocate of the business culture through recruitment, communications, staff engagement and people development
  • Recruitment and Processes for starters and leavers – contribute to recruitment process, oversee company-wide inductions and exit interviews and report and act on findings
  • Legal affairs - keep up to date with legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors. Update any company policies and contracts in line with new legislation and communicate any changes and their impact on the business
  • Collating and analyzing employee feedback through staff surveys, temperature checks, general feedback and suggestions
  • Ensuring there is a calendar of fun, staff events and initiatives held regularly to reward staff and drive engagement
  • Overseeing the CSR policy, working with a local charity partner and guiding the in-house Green Team
  • Any other duties as deemed fit by the business

Requirements:

  • Full or part CIPD qualified
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a HR management role, ideally gained working in a small HR team or in a standalone role
  • A proactive nature and willingness to ‘get things done’
  • A working knowledge of and experience of dealing with employment law related issues
  • Proven track record of successfully and effectively managing change
  • Experience of managing multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills, with a creative flair for internal communications
  • The ability to build relationships with our Executive Leadership team
  • Knowledge or accreditation of Insights Discovery an advantage
