Due to the growth and development of the our content marketing offering, we’re now looking for an experienced candidate to take on a team leader role to help manage projects and develop content writers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Inspiring and developing the content writers, to ensure we deliver first-class content with results in mind
  • Developing the writing, proofing and editing ability of the writing team
  • Supporting the team to develop their writing for different sectors, brands and TOV
  • Ensuring attention to detail is front of mind for content projects
  • Mentoring and line managing the writing team
  • Leading and managing content projects
  • Leading the recruitment and development of our external writer team
  • Creating best of breed content and helping to ensure the writing team follow this example
  • Reviewing and editing copy to ensure it is high quality
  • Ensuring our content processes are best practice
  • Attending relevant current and prospective client meetings as Writing Team Leader
  • Supporting the Sales and Solutions team on opportunities that come in where necessary to add value as the Writing Team Leader
  • Supporting the writers and editors on content audit and content plan activity
  • Supporting Head of Earned Marketing Communications and Workflow Coordinator to manage writing team workload

What you’ll need

  • Over three years’ experience in a content marketing role
  • Good people and communication skills
  • An excellent grasp of the English language
  • Proof-reading experience and the ability to evaluate content effectively
  • A good understanding of the impact of content on user experience
  • An innate understanding of commercial value and measuring the success/failure of a project
  • A flexible individual, comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced environment and communicating at all levels
  • Management or mentoring experience, if possible
