The Project

Our challenge was to create a fresh new look for the Family Traveller website that truly reflected it’s dynamic and engaging content. The new site also had to fully recognise the mobile preference of many of the sites regular users.

We worked with the team at Family Traveller to plan and execute an ambitious web redesign project that focussed on best in class UX design driven by market insights gained from user-testing.

Technically we decided to work with the world’s most popular, flexible and easy to user content management system – WordPress.

With the help of Stickyeyes we successfully redesigned our website and had some great learnings along the way too. We collaborated with a great team and enjoyed this project. I can definitely recommend Stickyeyes if you want results and are looking for a leading digital agency.

User Testing

Critical to the success of the re-design project was an ambitious user-testing program that informed many of the design decisions. We opted to test the old site with 6 participants initially to identify areas for improvements and then we included a second round of testing on a prototype version of the new site while it was still in development.

The results provided were invaluable in driving the UX design phase of the new site and provided the team clear direction when creating wireframes.

Visual Design

The exciting challenge with the sites design phase was to make the most of the inspiring and stunning imagery that exists alongside the engaging content.

We opted for a simple, fresh, minimalist style that let that powerful inspiring imagery and content do the talking.
