Android users have enjoyed this feature for some time but now, Google Analytics is finally available for iOS. We take a quick look at what this means for site owners and how they can keep track of their site’s performance on the move.
The release of Microsoft Cortana to UK developers is also under the spotlight, with Microsoft’s digital assistant imminently coming to UK Windows Phone users. The news got us thinking about smartphone personal assistants – technology that is massively underused but actually includes some extremely useful features.

Hello, and welcome to Digital Minute, where we’re talking about an update to Google analytics and the introduction of Microsoft’s ‘Cortana’ to the UK market.
Google has finally released a mobile version of its Analytics tool for iOS users. Android users have had this feature for around two years but now, you can check out your site’s performance on your iPhone.
The app gives you access to real-time statistics and time-based reports, as well as enabling you to look in more detail at conversions and behaviours.
This version of Analytics won’t give you the wealth of info that you’ll find in the desktop view, but it’s a step in the right direction for marketing professionals wanting to check-in on the go.
Personal assistant tools such as Siri and Google Now have been around for years but now, Microsoft is eventually joining the party.
The company announced this week that it will be releasing its own version, Cortana, to UK developers in the next fortnight.
